My week in photos (2)

Hello lovelies :) I'm not going to lie, I've had a pretty boring week and I haven't really got much to show you but here you go anyway....
1. I spent most of my evenings snuggled up in bed with some good entertainment! You can't go wrong really can you!

2. Daniel took me out to TGI Fridays as a "well done" for passing me exams and I ate way to much food. I also had a passion fruit mock tail as I was driving and it was to die for!

3. As I have now finished my exams and I spend most of my days at home I decided to make a "to-do" list every day, it's really helped to get me organised. So if you are forgetful or you struggle to fine motivation to do things then stark making some "to-do" lists.

4. I went shopping in asda the other day to pick up a few bits for my holiday, nothing to exciting but they were toiletries I needed. I have already done a blog post on this, so if you want to find out more then go and check that out :)

5. I started packing for my holiday this week. I'm taking very small baby steps but I'm slowly getting there by doing a little bit each day :) this is all the make up that I am planning to take away with me :)

6. If I haven't mentioned it before- I have the most amazing boyfriend ever! We went shopping yesterday and he bought me the urban decay naked eye pallet as a "well doneL present for finishing my exams! I cannot stop saying thank you to him!

So that's my week in photos- I know it was nothing special but hopefully this well will have a little more to offer! Let me know of any future blog posts you would like to see in the comments :)

Until next time

Friday, 20 June 2014

I cannot contain my excitement for my holiday next week and as my exams are now finished I can finally start getting organised! So today I took a little trip to asda to get some bog standard bits, nothing exciting but I thought I would share it with you as this is the type of thing I like to read :)

Firstly I picked up some sun tan lotion, I got this is factor 20 as I am quite lucky with my skin and it takes me a while to burn, however I still want to stay protected! To go with this I got a sun protecting lip balm also in factor 20 and some tanning oil in factor 30. Although I love a tan I also want to stay safe and keep my skin in a good and healthy condition. The last protecting product I picked up was a mini tube of sun cream in factor 30, I'll use this on my face and it's a perfect handbad size for if I'm going out on a day trip or something!

Next I got some simple kind to skin cleansing wipes and some tescos own hand wipes. I love using the simple ones on my face as I don't find them to harsh, I picked up the tescos own ones to put in my hand luggage in case I get into any sticky situations- literally!

The Niva regenerating after sun balm is by far my favourite! It has the most amazing smell, sinks into your skin super quick and doesn't leave you feeling sticky and gross! I cannot stress enough how much I love this product, plus it is so important to keep your skin moisturised if you spend the day in the sun. I take this away with me every year and this year will be no exception.

I have heard a lot of good things about the Garnier fresh eye make up remover so I thought I would give it ago and take it away with me. Normally I just use face wipes to remove my make up however I know that it's not good so I'm taking a step in the right direction and trying something new. I was undecided as to what product to buy, but with all the reviews I have read of this particular one, along with it's adorable purple packaging I opted for this :)

Big standard boring old deodorant, nothing now, nothing special. Everyone uses it...well at least I hope everyone does! Sure is my favourite brand as it lasts all day on me and I love the selection of fragrances they come in! I thought I would go for a compressed one just because it's easier to take away with me and it takes up less space in my suitcase.

Carex hand sanitiser is just something I'll pop in my hand luggage, so many people pass through the airport and I don't want to be catching a nasty bug while I'm away!

Finally I grabed some mentos, again these are just to pop in my hand luggage in case I fancy a soft mint, I have been addicted to them this month for some reason- I love being minty fresh!

So that's everything I picked up today at asda, I do also have some other bits that I'm taking away with me that u had previously bought and I still need to pick up a few things. So let me know of you would like to see a blog post or even a video on that? Or if you would like to see anything holiday related such as "what's in my hand luggage"

Until next time

SUMMER HAUL

Hello everyone, I'm back with my summer haul! These are some things that I have bought for the summer and my holiday :) I hope you enjoy :) x

1. This mint green crop top is from Zara, it was around £25 and I love it, it's super cute with it's spaghetti straps and so easy to wear!

2. A floral crop top from topshop which was £18, I paired it with some black leggings and my juju jelly shoes which were £24 and also from topshop. I love how this top sits on me and I can't wait to wear it on holiday- obviously I won't be wearing it with leggings though!

3. I wore this shift t-shirt style dress to my stepmums birthday party with a pair of coral shoes. It's from newlook and I think it was around £20 however I removed the tag so I'm not too sure! It's so easy to wear and you don't need to dress it up with a load of jewellery. A no fuss outfit that looks amazing- if I do say so myself!

4. A cheep and cheerful primark number- only £5! Such a casual outfit for a day trip out that is comfy and easy to wear. I paired this skater dress with my river island pumps that look really similar to "toms"

5. These bold floral shorts are from river island and were around £25, I think they look great with my coral t-shirt from newlook which was about £14. Again this outfit is really simple but because of the bold pattern on the shorts I think it looks beautiful! Plus it would look great with a tan.

6. I love a pair of sandels these are no exception. Both pairs were from primark for about £4 each, the shiney jelly material of the shoes looks super cute and they are surprisingly comfy to wear!

7. I wanted a pair of juju jelly shoes for so long, they are loved by some and hated by others but I think they look so cute on, plus that go with absolutely anything! So for £24 I'm so glad I got them, I can see myself wearing them so much this summer as they are already my "go to" shoes.

8. These river island "Toms" style shoes are sooooo comfy- I cannot even express my love for these. It's like walking on tiny pillows and they go with anything and everything. However I don't know how white they with stay considering I am the most clumsy, messy person to ever walk this planet! The other down side to these shoes is that my feet get so sweaty when it's Hot! TMI right? Hahah sorry. But I'll put up with that because I love them so much.

9. This is the first of 3 nail varnishes I got. It's from the colour show collection in the colour 267 so so fresh. It's such a pretty colour for the summer and it looks great on.

10. I was brave and got a polish from the new "bleached neon" range and I'm so glad I did. This one is in the colour 242 coral heat. It's such a bold stand out colour which is absolutely perfect for the summer!

11. The last nail varnish I got was again from the colour show range, it's in the colour 77 nebline which is this really pretty pale pink- not something I would usually go for! But it looks amazing on!

12. I didn't actually buy these as they came free in my Cosmo mag this month, but considering they have 400 UV protection I will most certainly be taking them on holiday with me. They have this amazing cat eye shape which is so different from the aviator glasses I normally go for and I think they are really flattering.

 13. I'm so glad I picked this item up, it's a play suit from tesco which was £16 and will be perfect for my holiday. You can either wear it with a pair of flip flops for a casual look, or dress it up like I did with a pair of killer heels and a clutch. Either way it looks great!

14. The second play suit if got was from river island and I think it was about £24. It's so colourful without looking over the top and looks great with my primark wedges.

15. Last but not least are these denim shorts from primark, I think they were £12 which in my eyes is a little pricey for primark, however I find it really hard to get denim shorts that fit me so I wasn't going to say no to these. I paired them with a black crop top from h&m and my burgundy high top converse. Such a simple outfit that is perfect for summer.

I really hoped you like reading my summer haul. I also plan to put up a YouTube video so be sure to check that out too! If you have posted a summer haul then share the link with me on twitter so I can have a read, my user name is @thelifeofbea

My week in photos [1]

1. With the small heat wave we had here in England this week a refreshing Starbucks was much needed. I surprisingly pulled myself away from my beloved chocolate cream and chose to try a cool lime refresher for the first time, while my boyfriend had a caramel frapachino. However, much to my disopointment my drink didn't live up to my expectations, I thought it just tasted like bog standard lime squash so in future I'll stick to the trusty chocolate cream.

2. I went to Nandos twice this week (naughty) but who can blame me! I love a good Nandos and it's so well priced for a meal out! I had what I always have which was a mango and lime chicken wrap without the chilli jam, creamy mash and a side of halomi cheese (as you may have guessed, I don't like change so I always stick to the same thing). On this trip I went with my boyfriend and he may have walked away with a present for me- a Nandos chicken! I don't know why, but I really wanted one- I'm childish like that!
3. Please excuse the poor quality of this photo! This is me and my boyfriend and my step mums 50th birthday party, we both had a lovely evening and may have drunk a little too much! I really enjoyed seeing all of my family who I don't get to see that often and getting up on the dance floor with everyone that was there.  I'm wearing this gorgeous shift t-shirt style dress from new look with some coral platformd heels which are also from newlook. The dress has a black and coral astec pattern on it and I can see me getting so much wear out of it!
4. Wearing clothes from my spring/summer wardrobe and creating outfits is so much fun! I love this turquoise slightly croped top from Zara it's high necked with spaghetti straps and is so flattering and easy to wear! I wore it with a pair of plain black leggings from h&m, some super cute white sandals from primark, a white lace kimono from newlook and this adorable nevalace from accessorise which matches perfectly!
5. This picture shows the full outfit I was just talking about. I wore it when me and my boyfriend took a cute walk through the woods (read my previous blogpost to find out what I got up to) and it was perfect for the trip. I looked stylish and summery without looking to overdressed and a good outfit really does make you feel so good about yourself!
6. Last but not least, I went to my boyfriends sisters moving in party last night- and I am still recovering! I wore this beautiful maxi dress from new look, it has such a simple black and cream pattern on it which looks amazing on! And it fits so nicely! It has adjustable straps which I love, and a slit up each leg, I paired this with black and gold sandals from primark and a cream bag with gold studs! I loved this outfit and so did everyone at the party!

So that's what I got up to this week! Follow me on Instagram and Twitter by clicking the links on my blog and I'll be sure to follow back! And you can also now follow me on bloglovin' www.bloglovin.com/blog/12412061

Leave me some comments I would love to chat with you! So tell me what you think!

Embracing nature

Today while the weather was nice I decided to take a walk through the woodland area near my house. Now this is a rather different experience for me considering I'm a "stay indoors" or "lounge by the pool" Kind of girl. However today I was feeling adventurous and I embraced the outdoors by going exploring!

This picture of what my boyfriend referred to as "the road to know where" made me feel -as cheesy as it sounds- at one with nature. Sometimes it's just so nice to leave your normal life behind, let go of all responsibilities and forget about everything. Walking down this stoney path I really felt as though I could do just this. And it was LOVELY!
Note to any future adventures- do not wear sandals! I repeat DO NOT wear sandals! I learnt my lesson the hard way- stones hurt your feet!

Sat elegantly on a wooden gate vs jumping off -and quite frankly looking like a fool who is trying to fly. But that's what it's all about isn't it? Having fun? I find that the minute the sun comes out and I have found something new and exciting to do I revert back to my childhood stages, running free without a care in a world and climbing trees, however as you grow older you reach a point in your life when you risk asses each activity before taking part- I think this may be "health and safety gone mad". Therefore on this particular trip there was unfortunately no climbing of trees, instead I took the far more timid option of climbing a small gate.

Strolling until my feet ached was by far the best part of my mini adventure. It was just nice to clear my head and have a breath of fresh air. Despite being attacked by Mosquitos every 30 seconds, the regular wiff of cows and the slalom I had to do to avoid stinging nettles, this walk really made me appreciate the little things in life. It's amazing what's right on our doorstep, what we take for granted, things we pass everyday and don't even notice. It just proves you can have an amazing day out without spending a penny!

So to anyone who is stuck indoors on a sunny day this summer, take a stroll through the woods! It really is a lovely way to relax. Go with a group or friends? Your family? Or your girlfriend/boyfriend like I did, even if you are on your own you will have a lovely day out!

Note to any boys who may be reading: take your girlfriend on a surprise adventure walking round the woods, be sure to hold her hand and take lots of pictures of her, I guarantee she'll have an amazing time and you'll come off looking like the most romantic thoughtful boyfriend ever.

Note to lone walkers: take a good book with you and find a secluded spot to have a sit down and a good read. Getting lost in a book while the sun beats down on you has to be one of the best feelings ever. At the moment I am recommending "gone girl" by Gillian Flynn and "the fault in our stars" by john green.

Until next time
